Dimitri Kindynis
Dimitri Kindynis has been awarded the following prizes and gained the following qualifications:
Third Prize in the 4th Alexander Glazounov International Cello Competition in April 2005.
First Prize in Cello and the Diploma of Music Studies (DEM) (City of Paris) in April 2005. Awarded unanimously and highly commended by the jury.
First Prizes in Cello, Chamber Music and the DEM at the Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Conservatoire in June 2003.
Higher Diploma in Cello (Schola Cantorum de Paris) in June 2001.
First Prize in Chamber Music (City of Paris) in June 2000. Awarded unanimously.
First Prize in Cello (City of Paris) in March 2000.
Diploma of Music Studies with distinction (Artistic Conservatoire, Territory of Tahiti) in June 1997.
Dimitri Kindynis has studied the cello with Eric Courrèges (Papeete), Raymond Maillard (Paris 6e), Erwan Fauré (Schola Cantorum), Xavier Gagnepain (CNR de Boulogne-Billancourt) and Romain Garioud (Paris 13e).
He has participated in cello masterclasses with Alexander Rudin, Frans Helmerson, Henri Demarquette, Xavier Gagnepain, Jérôme Pernoo, Christoph Richter, and baroque cello with Jérôme Pernoo.
Dimitri Kindynis studied chamber music with Marie-Christine Millière (Paris 6e), Paul Boufil (CSP-CNR), Hortense Cartier-Bresson (CNR de Boulogne-Billancourt) and with Frédéric Lainé (Paris 13e).
He has participated in chamber music master classes with Boris Berezovski, Xavier Gagnepain, Jérôme Pernoo, Konrad von Abel, Hatto Beyerle, Rony Rogoff.
He has also participated in seminars on music phenomenology under the direction of Konrad von Abel.
Dimitri Kindynis has played in the string orchestra of the Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Conservatoire under the direction of Xavier Gagnepain performing Schönberg’s Verklarte Nacht, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade, & Bartok’s Divertimento.
In April 2003 Dimitri Kindynis became a member of the Orchestra of the European Region under the direction of Konrad von Abel performing in concerts throughout France, Germany and Mexico. He has been the leader of the cello section in this orchestra since December 2003.
He gave solo cello concerts and cello & piano recitals in Papeete (Tahiti) in October 2003 as part of Music in Polynesia, then in the festivals Internationalen Musikfest in Goslar (Germany) in August 2003 & 2005. He also gave recitals in Mr Haydn's holidays at La Roche Posay in September 2005 and 2006.
Dimitri Kindynis has been a replacement cellist in the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra since 2006.
